The Kent Valley Hockey Association (KVHA) Record Book is established for the purpose of recording accomplishments by KVHA players and teams. This is a work in progress which began on November 11, 2010.
The Record Book was updated on 12 January, 2016 to acknowledge the scoring effort of Caleb Chaloner KVHA PeeWee Tornadoes as he came close to tying the KVHA Record for for MOST POINTS IN TWO CONSECUTIVE GAMES: The current record is 11 held by Tyler Jennings for scoring 11 points on 01/18 and 01/19/2014
Chaloner tallied 10 points over two consecutive games on December 19th & 20th, 2016, to come within one point of the KVHA record of eleven points over two games. By doing so, we believe Chaloner deserves honorable mention in the KVHA Record Book under the category of Most Points in Two Consecutive Games.
12U+ Record Book updated April 19, 2017.
In November of 2017 it became obvious that a new and separate KVHA Record Book needed to be established to acknowledge the excellent skills and performance of our 10U players apart from players in the higher age levels, 12U and above. As 10U teams moved to half-ice play for the 2017/2018 season we began to see higher game scores. As predicted by USA Hockey in their ADM program, half-ice play would result in more touches for the players, faster play and more scoring opportunities. Additionally, 10U games were often being played in two periods, or halves, rather than the traditional three periods, upon which our current KVHA Record Book is based. That said, this is the first edition of the 10U Individual Player Records.
