ent Valley Hockey is pleased to announce Harry Smith as their new Hockey Director. Smith has coached at Kent Valley Hockey Association for the last 13 years coaching at the Mite, Squirt, PeeWee, Bantam and Midget levels. He has also assisted with Learn to Play for the last 13 years, has run several Spring LTP sessions and has coached Kent Valley’s Spring Practice sessions for various age levels for the last 5 or 6 years. Smith has coached several Spring tournament teams and is currently assisting with the Edmonds-Wooley High School Hockey team. He holds a Level 4 USA Hockey Coaching Certification.
Harry Smith was born and raised in a suburb of Philadelphia and played street hockey as a kid. He took up ice hockey when he was transferred to Grand Rapids Michigan in 1999. He and his family moved to Kent Washington in 2003. He has played in both the GSHL and the Rainier Hockey league for the last 15 years and has refereed for the last 4 years.
KVHA Photo Night Schedule Reminder – October 29th
Mark your calendar now! Kent Valley Hockey’s team photo night is set for Monday evening October 29th. Team and individual photos will be taken. Players need to wear full gear with hockey stick. No Helmet during photos. Teams need to arrive early, and players dressed and in line tallest to shortest. All players must have order form in hand. If you ordered online, please make sure your player has print out of order in their hand.

Bring a Food Donation to Practice Next Week
Kent Valley Ice Centre, Kent Valley Hockey Association and Kent Valley Figure Skating Club will be participating in the 8th Annual Kent Turkey Challenge for the benefit of the Kent Food Bank.
We are encouraging all our Kent Valley Hockey Association members to bring a food item or items, to practice next week. We are hoping to fill up the bins at the front doors and make a healthy donation to the Kent Food Bank. We greatly appreciate your donations.
