Seattle Thunderbirds Call for August Skills Camp Registrations – Register Today

 

Kent Valley Ice Centre, Kent, WA., Thursday, July 26, 2018 – The Seattle Thunderbirds will be hosting their annual Skills Camp August 6-10 and 13-17 at accesso ShoWare Center. The camp will be focusing on the areas of shooting, scoring and power skating. These 3 essential parts of every players game will be honed and developed by current and past T-Birds coaches and players.  This year’s staff will be working with all age groups 1.5 hours per day, committed and motivated to teaching and improving the skills of everyone in attendance throughout the week.

All sessions for the 2018 Seattle Thunderbirds Hockey Camp will take place at the accesso ShoWare Center, home of the 2017 Western Hockey League Champion Seattle Thunderbirds.  Participants will utilize the Thunderbirds locker room and WHL dressing rooms throughout the camp. Registration is now open. 

Purchase both weeks of youth camp and get half off the second week.

14U/16U Selects Tryouts Set for August 8th and 9th

Tryouts for Kent Valley’s 14U and 16U Selects Team will take place on Wednesday August 8th, 6:00pm – 7:30pm, and Thursday August 9th from 6:00pm – 7:15pm.  Interested players may sign up for the August tryouts by clicking here or through the link on the Kent Valley Hockey Association webpage at www.kentvalleyhockey.com.  All those who previously registered for the May tryouts do not need to re-register.  Tryouts are OPEN to everyone.

Players need not be registered with KVHA to attend the tryouts and learn more about the program. Kent Valley offers a competitive development-based program that has alumni that have moved on to the NHL, AHL, NCAA, USHL, WHL, NAHL, and BCHL.

Kent Valley Selects 12U “B” Tryouts Set for August 25th and 26th

Kent Valley Hockey Association will conduct the first round of tryouts for their 12U “B” Selects team for the upcoming 2018-2019 season.  Tryouts will be held on August 25-26, Saturday at 1:10pm and Sunday at 9:00am.  Below is the tryout registration Link:

Tryouts are OPEN to everyone. Players do not need to be registered with KVHA to attend the tryout and learn more about the program.  (Players that have already committed to other teams for the 2018-2019 season may not attend this tryout.)  

TRYOUT FEE is $50.00 payable to Kent Valley Hockey Association and includes two on-ice sessions.  This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment.  Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. 

To complete registration through our secure on-line site, please have your payment information available (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or checking accounts are acceptable forms of payment).

 

USA Hockey Registration Requirement

Each Player must register first with USA Hockey and then return to the Kent Valley Registration Session to sign up for the 2018-2019 Season or for tryouts.

Step 1:  CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration and register your player(s).  Be sure to PRINT and SAVE their confirmation code(s).  Remember to register EACH of your players with USA Hockey.  Each player must have their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number.

Step 2:  Return to the Kent Valley registration process and proceed.  Later in this registration session you will need to enter the USA Hockey Confirmation Code that you received in Step 1.

 

Kent Valley Ice Centre is a Great Place to Cool Off on These Hot Summer Days

Are you looking for a little relief from the July heat wave?  Drop by the Kent Valley Ice Centre to cool off.  Temperatures in the bowl seating area usually range from 58 to 62 degrees on these hot days, so bring a warm sweater.

No admission is required to enter the ice rink, cool off and watch whatever happens to be going on out on the ice.  Figure skating, ice hockey and public skating sessions occur throughout the day.
