Kent Valley Ice Centre, Kent, WA – KVHA News for 15 June, 2010 – Kent Valley Ice Centre has been without an operating Pro Shop since Northwest Pro Hockey closed their business and vacated the space last fall. Well, things are on the verge of getting better.
Les Grauer, Director of Kent Valley Ice Centre, announced this afternoon that the Ice Centre would again be operating a full-service Pro Shop. Grauer said, “The first shipment of merchandise, a partial order of approximately eighty sticks and some helmets, have arrived at Kent Valley Ice Centre.” Kent Valley Members should see product in the Pro Shop on their next visit.
Grauer indicated the Pro Shop would, over the next few months; stock some skates, elbow, knee and shoulder pads as well as hockey pants and other essentials. “We’re going to carry a good supply of hockey tape, mouth guards and laces. Our Pro Shop prices match or are competitive with internet pricing and are available for immediate purchase (while supplies last)." According to Grauer, more orders are expected in as soon as the manufacturers have available stock.

Our KVIC Pro Shop staff have 70 combined years of experience sharpening skates. Everyone in the Pro Shop sharpens our rental skates, so they get plenty of practice. Some of our staff are former pro hockey players and are aware of the principles involved in quality sharpening.
